A Legacy of Growth : From IPSHEM to ATI-ONGC
ATI-ONGC’s journey began in 1989 in Room No. 202 of Hotel Woodlands, Margao, Goa. Focused on petroleum safety and environmental management, IPSHEM laid the foundation. In 1997, the institute relocated to Betul, South Goa, establishing a specialized campus for petroleum emergency training and research.
By 2002, IPSHEM evolved into the Institute of Petroleum Safety, Health, and Environment Management (IPSHEM), reflecting the added importance of occupational health.
Now, in 2024, the transformation continues with the rebranding to ATI-ONGC, expanding its horizons beyond petroleum safety.

ATI-ONGC has broadened its training portfolio to include sectors like energy, aviation, and marine. As a NEBOSH gold learning partner and an accredited IOSH learning partner, the institute is a benchmark for safety training excellence, addressing the evolving needs of these high-risk industries.

ATI is great institute for HSE related training. Faculties are so knowledgeable. Only thing which need to improve is training classes and workbooks can be in local languages eg Hindi

IPSHEM- ONGC is located at Betul, South Goa. The state of the art training centre for disaster management training at Betul facility of this internationally known Maharatna Company of India is a centre par excellence.Right from the serene beauty of the location, highly qualified faculty , excellent arrangement for boarding and lodging and extraordinary infrastructure would speak for itself.It is accessible from both the International Airport of Goa – Manohar International Airport (GOX) and Dabolim Airport (GOI). Both airports have taxi pick-up facility. One can choose Goa- miles, the government app to book a cab. Once you reach the facility at Betul, you would be in total peace.I have done disaster management training at this excellent facility. Sri Alok Kumar, Manager was the main face of the overall training programme. Such a nice and knowledgeable person he is!Anyone would be lucky to have a chance to be trained at this facility for sure.Best Management , Best People!Best of Luck to all of them
The 3-day workshop at ONGC Betul was an experience of a lifetime. The sprawling campus, extremely well-maintained facility, fantastic rooms and the variety of yummy dishes served to us made out stay truly memorable. The training sessions were informative, the faculty and experts were erudite and knew their jobs well. Special mention must be made about the practical sessions. They were so enriching and exciting. We literally had a blast 😀

Best place in Goa. Very huge training centre located in vety narural environment. Surrounded by sea and very peaceful area. All facilities of training on disaster and calamity . Campus , training centres, canteen, rooms and other relevant infrastructure are well in condition . Faculties are also having much knowledge and with full of dedication, devotion and determination.
